Should the media, be allowed to make irrelevant statements in public?
The media has got the power to make irrelevant statements that can manipulate the public. A type of headline, that is often used is:
" 13 year old Danish girl, raped by Muslims!"
This can make the public think that it is a Muslim tradition, to rape whenever
possible. The public will be manipulated to become prejudice which can harm
the innocent Muslims and immigrants. They might be as foul as to look like the
Muslims, which is not a crime indeed.
In a case of rape, or in any case, your religion is not important. For instance nobody will ever see a headline like this:
"Young girl, raped by barbarian Christians!"
The media is supposed reflect the real world as it is and they can't do that
if they focus on irrelevant facts as our example. That's why our constitution
should be aware of the media's power in the public.
This is our statement.

Changing of § 29 subsection 1.
We believe that §29 in the constitution should be changed. §29 subsection
1 says that: "Any Danish subject who is permanently domiciled in the Realm,
and who has the age qualification for suffrage as provided for in subjection
(2) of this section shall have the right to vote at Folketing elections, provided
that he has not been declared incapable of conducting his own affairs. It shall
be laid down by statute to what extent conviction and public assistance amounting
to poor relief within the meaning of the law shall entail disfranchisement."
We would like to have this part of subsection 1 changed:"...the right to vote at Folketing elections, provided that he has not been declared incapable of conducting his own affairs. It shall be laid down by statute to what extent conviction and public assistance amounting to poor relief within the meaning of the law shall entail disfranchisement."
We believe that in democracy like Denmark you should have the option to vote whatever financial status you might have. Today the people with poor relief would be the people with supplementary benefit.
A democracy means that it is the people that decide how the country should be managed not only the rich population. Even though we do not think that the present or the coming government would use this paragraph, we do not believe that it should be in the constitution.
